So, what’s the deal with the new shirts?

So, the new t-shirts for this summer at The Springs involves a little bit of thinking…and hopefully a little bit of explanation. The good news that we have to share with others is not just a cool shirt, nor is it a cool church…it’s a message – a message best told in conversation, rather than read on a shirt. So what is the deal?

So on the front of the t-shirt is our new logo. I’m sure that doesn’t need any explaining.

Also written is our theme for the summer:

<PERFECT>WELCOME

We want the people where we live, work and play to know without a doubt that we are a church where the “less than perfect are more than welcome” because the message of Jesus is just that. We, in our sin are less than perfect…all of us, but because of what Jesus did for us, we are more than welcome…all of us. No matter if you are young or old, married or single or divorced, healthy or hooked, jobless or “successful”, republican or democrat or libertarian, gay or straight, it simply doesn’t matter. We are not waiting for you to be perfect to welcome you. Period.

So, that’s it. That’s the message. That’s the incredible hope imbedded in the weird little phrase on the front of the shirts. We will continue to unpack this incredible truth over the course of the summer. For now, I hope this suffices. If you want a shirt, contact Brad or wait until June 3 and get yours for $10.
