Simple. Connecting. Refreshing.
Church @ the Springs is focused on helping our neighbors live a simpler, more refreshing life marked by significant connections to Christ and to one another.
The Springs was founded in March 2007 by a group of League City and Dickinson residents who saw a need and an opportunity for a church that was committed to serving their community. We are a community church in the true sense of the word, and desire to be an integral part of life in the Clear Springs High School area.
If you really want to understand what makes The Springs unique, don’t just read about it, experience it! The church’s true ministry base is Neighborhood Life – groups that meet weekly in several area neighborhoods as a place to belong, serve, grow and play together. We encourage everyone to connect at the neighborhood level. You can use this website to locate a neighborhood group near you.
We are involved in service through community partnerships that include the Perry Family YMCA, Dickinson chapter of Habitat for Humanity and Starfish Kenya, a ministry to AIDS orphans in Africa founded by a local Bay Area couple.
The Springs is led by
Brad Gartman, pastor and Cedar Landing resident, and his wife Rhonda have lived in League City since 2005. Brad has served local churches in Waco, Fort Worth and Clear Lake. He and Rhonda both graduated from Baylor University and have a girl and a boy, Garin and Graysen.
Cameron Simmons, pastor and Magnolia Creek resident, and his wife Elizabeth have lived in the Bay Area since 2001. Cameron has been a worship leader in local churches in Waco, Austin, Fort Worth and Clear Lake. He and Elizabeth both graduated from Baylor University and have two boys, Jacob and Benjamin.
Kris McLendon leads our KidSprings and lives in Brittany Lakes. She and her husband, John, both went to Texas Tech (but we don’t hold that against them) and have a son and daughter, Miles and Megan.
